Big Headed Family

The Brief Description of Fukusuke Dolls

There are a few origins of Fukusuke. The most famous one is that Fukusuke was a merchant in Kyoto in Edo period (1603-1867). He was remarkably successful in apparel businesses.
Therefore, Fukusuke dolls are believed to make businesses prosperous in Japan. In additional, his ears are big and plump. This is called Fukumimi in Japanese and said to bring good luck.
We sell not only Fukusuke but also his Fuku family. (Fuku means good luck in Japanese.) Ofuku is his wife, and Fukumusume is their daughter. All of them are very detailed and cute.
