The Brief Description of Maiko and Geisha Dolls

Now the word "Geisha" can be found in major English dictionaries. As a result, most of people who are not living in Japan can understand the meaning of Geisha, a Japanese woman who is trained in music, dancing, and the art of the conversation*.
However, the word "Maiko" is not well known. Maiko can act only dancing. (Mai in Japanese means dancing.) She is a trainee of Geisha to study to play Japanese instrumentals and study singing. In additional, it is said that Maiko is usually under 20 years old and becomes Geisha at 21 years old.
